Teasel Time = Party Time!

I've missed some opportunities to toot my own horn lately. Back in September I reached the one year anniversary of my first post, and four posts ago (the b & w barn), I reached my 100th post. Didn't know I passed either milestone at the time. So now that I'm aware, its party time!

I usually find hobbies, become infatuated, and then lose that loving feeling pretty quickly. I'm proud of myself for sticking with blogging. I find it very entertaining, and you all certainly make it more than worthwhile!

I chose this picture because recently several blogger friends posted beautiful and educational pictures and comments about teasel. I think its a good example of how inspiration can pass from blog to blog, photo to photo.

I took this back on Fulton Fall Folk Festival weekend. Mom had whipped her little car into the driveway of a home with a garage sale. Fortuitously, a field full of teasel was right behind where she parked and I grabbed this shot.

Congrats on the 100th post and the 1 year. :) :) Hey it is one of those pokey weed things that I found in Colorado when I was there. :) :) Yours is way cool since there are sooooo many of them. Nice shot!! :) :)

Congratulations on the anniversary of blogging. I read your post with curious thought because you mentioned or hinted that you seldom stick with one thing very long. I am thinking lots of "creative" people are like that and lose interest quickly once the initial objective is met. I know I have and the only thing I have stuck with is my wife over the last 52 years -- and photography for 55 years.

I forgot to say that I never heard the name "Teasel" before today. I don't even remember what we call these things but I have seen them around here all of my life.

This old man's post brought tears on this Veteran's Day but not because I am a Korean War era veteran.

Well, you certainly picked a picture that's worthy of any anniversary or milestone.
I feel much the same about blogging as you do, I thought I'd dip my toe in, to test the water and then just jumped in... I'm swimming along in a sea of friendliness and fun. Learning, sharing, and being inspired with every tide.
I like many others consider you as a blogging friend and wish you well for the next years worth of posts.

Happy 1 year anniversary and congratulations for the 100th post!
Two great accomplishments!

Very nice picture of the teasel.

I have teasel that Salty picked for me on one of our photo shoots; I mixed it in with a Home Interiors autumn arrangement.

Teasel Teasel every where,
Dont go near or you'll be aware,
Of a short sharp pain,
And an injury you will sustain.

Great photo to celebrate with.

Congrats!

I didn't realize you had been blogging this long! Maybe it was because your post were sporadic in the beginning :) It is always nice to start the day looking for a new image/post from you!

Teasel, my Favorite!
