Get Your Ducks in a Row

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement on my anniversary post! I really do appreciate it, and I really enjoy keeping up with my blogging friends. Can't believe its been over a year already! Now, for all my blogging friends, here are some of my ducky friends:

These mallards stop by our detention basin pretty much every time it rains enough for them to get their feet wet. On this day, they would paddle along, get tired of swimming, put their feet down, and start walking (the water was only a few inches deep). There were actually quite a few of them out there. Once they saw me, they'd start to move in the opposite direction. Twenty-some ducks tramping around and quacking are loud!

I have always liked mallards; the second picture is neat with the reflection of the houses.

I guess you knew or realize that they love to float or wade in puddles because the water brings up the night crawlers and the ducks love to eat them. Nice post.

Love the second shot of the ducks in a row and the house reflections. It just pops when enlarged. Good stuff Ash.

These are beautiful... I guess it's been a "ducky" week - I posted a duck yesterday.... and so did OML.
Nice shot!

Amy,
I love how the green pops on the Mallard's heads in the first image. I also like how the female breaks up the pattern in the image too.

The bottom one with the house reflection is great.

I love mallards (especially the males with such a pretty irridescent green)! And your reflection photo is just lovely!

Just quacks me up...;-) ( I know...cheesy). Are you allowed to feed them?

On with another years worth of posts.. and what a standard you have set yourself with that second shot.
I suppose with anything like this Ash... it is time and enjoyment. I hope you have both in abundance.
