My Favorite Time of Year

One of my many favorite times of the year is wildflower season. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of finding my first wildflower of the year:

I believe this is marsh marigold; it was certainly growing in a wet environment. I also had my first run-in with skunk cabbage:

In any case, last year, I was blessed with the opportunity to take many hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains and on the Cumberland Plateau in East Tennessee during spring wildflower season and throughout the summer. Those hikes resulted in two things: 1) more wildflower pictures than I know what to do with, and 2) a "Wildflower-A-Day" theme for my April blog posts so that I can put the pictures to use!

Amy,
That's so cool that you got to go to your first NBA game last night!! I checked out NBA.com and saw that they played Boston. Was it a fun game? What kind of seats did you have?

Yeah, I was especially a Basketball fanatic back in high school, I'm interested in a more broader spectrum of things now, but still have "the Love" inside ;)

We'll definitely have to catch up and go photograph something when I'm up. I'll let you know when that time comes. I'm sure you know of some great locations!

I just watched highlights on NBA.com of your game. Looked like A Lot of empty seats! There were a fair amount of empty seats at the Orlando game I went to last week as well. I guess it's because it's towards the end of the season and the teams we saw aren't that "Hot" right now.

Looked like you saw some nice plays though!
