Meat Eater

An interesting plant we found in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I believe it's a type of sun dew, where the "dew" is a sticky substance that catches insects, which the plant then digests. Sort of like a Venus Flytrap. This little guy was tiny. The picture is taken with a setting on my camera that I call "Superflower" because macro mode is indicated by a flower symbol with an 'S' inside and it reminds me of the Superman symbol.

Strange looking plant. Looks like some kind of furry bug :) Nice catch.

Cool Flower! Superflower is one of my most used settings. I just love it! Very few P&S's will focus up to the front lens element.

Nice post of your mom and the fathers day tribute. Whats more fitting than a cannon shot for a Canon man :) Now if only we could get him into the blogisphere!

That is lovely! I'm a fan of carnivorous plants and I'm quite envious that you found one growing in the wild!

I'm stuck with my three carnivorous babies that live on my window sill!
